About the event
In this new seminar, Mark Weisleder, LLB., REI, teaches both real estate
salespeople and brokers of record what you need to know to comply with all
FINTRAC requirements
The objectives of this course are to understand:
- a) All the new changes introduced June 1, 2021 relating to FINTRAC
- b) By following FINTRAC requirements, you will actually build better relationships with your clients
- c) All training required for all of your staff, salespeople and brokers
- d) How to properly complete the forms
By the end of this session you will:
- Understand the new requirements when you are dealing with a
- corporation
- Learn what FINTRAC auditors look for
- Learn what to ask whenever a new prospect contacts you
- How to make sure that your own FINTRAC policy is up to date
- Understand how to identify an estate trustee or Power of Attorney as a
- client
- Learn how to properly identify a client, even if there is no picture ID
- available
- Understand when you can identify a client through a video conference,
- and the extra precautions you need to take
- Understand whether a deposit paid by a wire or EFT is preferable to a
- bank draft
- Learn how to properly complete the Receipt of Funds Form
- Learn how to keep a record of all training requirements
- Understand how to complete the FINTRAC forms, including the
- occupation, how to complete the Risk section C and how to complete
- the Business Relationship section D
- Learn what to do to reduce risk when dealing with an overseas client
