Engaged Neighbourhoods Project
What makes a neighbourhood livable, healthy and vibrant? We tend to think of physical traits such as good schools, green parks, recreation opportunities, local shopping, architecture and trees. But the physical fabric of a community is only one piece. Another important question is: What do the people do with this canvas? How do they use their spaces and how do they connect with each other?
We’re excited to announce a new project, the Engaged Neighbourhoods Project, which aims to bring community leaders together from across the district to build capacity for connected neighbourhoods. Our first step is to build an online map of neighbourhood-based community groups in our district!
