2019 BDAR AGM Highlights

In May 2019, Barrie and District Association of REALTORS® (BDAR) decided to shake things up and try something new for the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Following the theme, It’s Better with BDAR, BDAR Members were invited to the new facility and were given new membership cards upon arrival. The BDAR AGM commenced as of 5:00 pm.

BDAR Member's participated in a silent auction at this year's AGM and raised $1,500 with all proceeds donated directly in support of Youth Haven - Barrie.


Lucy Gowers, Executive Director, of Youth Haven Barrie shared a few words of awareness and brought attention and thanks to the AGM's silent auction.



The BDAR AGM consisted of an overview of 2018, BDAR Membership Recognition for years of membership, a 2019 outlook and was filled with video highlights and input from the BDAR Membership Recognition recipients on topics including:

Members thoughts on the new BDAR Facility location - 676 Veterans Drive, Barrie, ON.


BDAR's outlook on 2019 was captured through video as well featuring 2019 BDAR President Tania Artenosi and 2019 President-Elect Robin Jones.


 

Following the meeting members were invited to a wine and cheese networking hour, including appetizers from Michael & Marion’s, Trestle Brewery providing refreshments, Jazz Mandu entertaining with music, and granted additional time to view BDAR's Silent Auction to benefit Youth Haven. YMCA of Simcoe Muskoka showcased the plans for their new facility being built in the downtown core. The AGM had over 150 attendees and the silent auction was a huge success for Youth Haven.
