BDAR is continuing to move forward along its reinvention journey as an innovative, service-oriented Association and leader in the organized real estate industry. This overall plan for this location is an accessible blend of administration workplace with great member and community experience and services. In addition to the training rooms, the building has multiple gathering spots for members and the community and be a training and community hub easily accessible from across the main arteries of the region.

As BDAR grew, so did its need for space. From starting in a small office space in 1967 on Dunlop, the Association moved to a new location at 43 Anne Street North in Barrie. From there, BDAR moved to 85 Ellis Drive in 1991.

After nearly a decade along the outskirts of the city, the Association found itself returning to the heart of Barrie, and in keeping with real estate tradition at the time, BDAR located itself in a beautiful re-purposed historic Victorian-era house, at 30 Mary Street, Barrie. The facility was home for the Association until 2017.

The sale of 30 Mary street, which closed in late January 2017, meant that the Association needed an interim space (31 King Street, Unit 4) while awaiting the completion of the construction for the new purpose-built facility in Barrie’s south-end.

BDAR's new location at 676 Veterans Drive, offers modern and accessible space as well as services and resources designed to meet the needs of the memberships’ growing organization and local community.
