During REALTOR® Care Week November 18th – 22nd, 2019 Barrie and District Association of REALTORS® (BDAR) challenged its members to give the gift of warmth this season with a Fall into Winter Warm-up Campaign.
For every donation, the Members were encouraged to write their name on a cut-out mitten to put onto "The Wall of Care".
In conjunction with this campaign BDAR hosted a sold-out event REALTalk Second Suites that brought in over 150 attendees. Attendees were encouraged to bring a donation item to the event. The response was overwhelming with a total of 45 hats, 35 pairs of mitts, 25 scarves, and 76 pairs of socks. This will help so many stay warm this winter!
The David Busby Centre provides a safe and warm place for individuals experiencing poverty. They offer hands on nursing and health care in an environment that is non-threatening, free of judgement and prejudice. Education and support systems are in the place so they can help those who need it. David Busby serves Simcoe County and surrounding areas and have helped thousands of those in need.
