In May 2019, Barrie and District Association of REALTORS® (BDAR) decided to shake things up and try something new for the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Following the theme, It’s Better with BDAR, BDAR Members were invited to the new facility and were given new membership cards upon arrival.
City of Barrie’s Honorable Mayor Jeff Lehman spoke to our BDAR Membership on the future of Barrie and how the community can come together to help those in need right here in the City of Barrie.
The meeting commenced as of 5:00 pm and consisted of an overview of 2018, BDAR Membership Recognition for years of service, along with video highlights from the events that have been held this year at the new facility.
Lucy Gowers of Youth Haven shared a few words of awareness and drew attention to the silent auction.
Following the meeting members were invited to a wine and cheese networking hour, including appetizers from Michael & Marion’s, Trestle Brewery providing refreshments, Jazz Mandu entertaining with music, and a Silent Auction to benefit Youth Haven. YMCA of Simcoe Muskoka showcased the plans for their new facility being built in the downtown core. The AGM had over 130 attendees and the silent auction was a huge success for Youth Haven.
